Spring And Non Sprung Interior Mattresses
Spring Mattresses
The majority of mattresses in the UK have spring interiors, which provide the ‘core’ support.
The feel and weight distribution properties of each mattress are affected by
- The spring construction,
- The thickness (gauge) of the spring wire,
- The number of coils (springs within the mattress) and where they are located
- The height of each spring
Kaymed sprung mattresses are all made with Pocket springs – Small, softer springs that work independently from each other.
These are accepted industry wide as the most supportive and pressure relieving type of springs used in mattresses.
- Conform and adjust to body contours.
- Help eliminate roll together.
- Kaymed spring counts vary from 1000-2500, depending on the model chosen.
-
Note that higher spring counts on offer are normally achieved by using many layers of small micro springs, which do not improve the support that you receive from the mattress.
Fillings – Kaymed mattresses only contain fillings entirely manufactured within our in house facility. No other manufacturer can claim to be so self sufficient and in control of continuity of quality.
Non Sprung Mattresses
Kaymed manufacture a range of non sprung foam mattresses, combining open cell support foams with top comfort layers. These include V85 visco elastic and Thermaphase gel infused phase change visco elastic (full details of the ranges are on our website www.kaymed.co.uk
All Kaymed mattresses are suitable for use on bedsteads, providing the slats are spaced between 60-75 mm in accordance with industry standards.
