Divan Bed Bases Explained

 

Divans

Divans are still the most popular style of base in the UK. They are essentially an upholstered box, fitted with castors for mobility. The new divan range from Kaymed is beautifully tailored and available in a range of seven colour ways, as well as with matching headboards. Storage options are available on all models and all bases come with chrome plated metal castors.

Kaymed platform top divans

  •  These have a rigid, non‑sprung top panel and are offered on models where either a firmer feel is required, or no extra springs are needed to improve the pressure relief and feel of the mattress
  • Mighty Beds are supplied with a re-inforced divan base specifically designed to be used with the Might Bed mattress range.

Kaymed firm edge divans

  •  These feature heavy duty springs within a rigid, wooden sided frame. These are used to enhance the comfort of the divan set, often giving a slightly softer feel.
