Sleep plays a huge part of our lives
Research by Kaymed of over 1000 people showed that 50% of people don’t get enough sleep. One of the challenges many face is that there don’t seem enough hours in the day and the stresses of life end up keeping us awake.
Nationwide sleep survey findings
- Sleep problems experienced constant across those surveyed
- Around 10% of people in the UK will develop a sleep problem, and its the same sort of problems that are affecting peoples sleeping
So what mistakes do we make about sleeping
- Sleep is not a passive process
- Sleep acts as a cleaning process for the body and if the body is deprived of sleep it can cause problems
- We are surrounded by technology which impacts on sleep
- We live sedentary lives

Top tips if you struggle to sleep at night
- Get into a good sleep routine
- Have a warm bath and then go into a cooler bedroom
- Don’t get over agitated before going to bed
- Create an environment (that is technology free)
