Luxury Headboards – What to Consider When Choosing
Luxury headboards can make a great addition to a bedroom – but there’s plenty to think about before choosing one. With that in mind, we’ve come up with a short guide that contains a few things you’ll need to consider. Hopefully, it will help to make the process a bit easier.
Luxury Headboards – Function and Form
Before luxury headboards, there was the humble headboard. This served foremost as a functional furniture fixture that was attached to the head of a bed. It provided extra insulation in a time when houses were less protected from the outside elements than they are today. Modern, luxury headboards are still used for comfort but aesthetics also form a large part of their purpose.
Luxury Headboards – Visual Aspects to Consider
Although luxury headboards are not purely for visual purposes, style is an important aspect to consider. At Kaymed, we have a range of styles and colours to suit a variety of interior designs, click here to see our full selection of luxury headboards.
Luxury Headboards – Comfort
When it comes to the comfort of luxury headboards we can break things down into two main areas – material and size.
Material
You want your headboard to be soft and supportive. This will make it comfortable when you are sitting up against it in bed. At Kaymed we have a range of luxury headboards that are upholstered with high quality, soft materials. These are available in a range of styles and colour options to match your bed and decor.
Size
It is very important to get a headboard that fits your bed. If you’re not entirely sure about the size of your bed we would strongly recommend that you measure it before choosing a headboard.
All Kaymed luxury headboards measure around 137 (4’6”) high. This height is suitable for people of every size and shape. And, unless you’ve got an extremely low ceiling, this height should also fit all rooms. When it comes to width, Kaymed offers a variety of options, with headboards available in widths of 90cm (3′), 120cm (4′), 135cm (4’6″), 150cm (5′) or 180cm (6′).
