Big bed frames are great for those who want a bit more space in bed. Extra room can be a particular advantage for couples as it allows for plenty of movement without the risk of bumping into one another.
However, the extra space can also be enjoyed by people who sleep alone but would like to be able to sprawl out at night.

Big Bed Frames – King Size
Dimensions
Possibly the most recognisable big bed frame name is the king size. This large bed measures 5 feet in width and 6 feet 6 inches in width (60 inches by 78 inches). For those better acquainted with metric measurements, this is equivalent to 150 centimetres by 200 centimetres.
Who’s It For?
The rule of thumb for bed sizes is that a bed should be at least 10 inches longer than tallest person sleeping in it. This ensures that users are able to sleep in a comfortable and healthy position – very important given the amount of time we tend to spend in bed. With this in mind, the king size bed should offer ample room for most people.
Room Size Requirements
Given the large size of the king size bed, a large, open and regular shaped room is probably the best candidate to house it. This should ensure that there is plenty room to manoeuver when the bed is in place

The largest bed frame available in the UK is the super king. This bed measure 6 feet by 6 feet 6 inches (71 inches by 78 inches) or 180 centimetres by 200 centimetres.

Similar to the king size bed, the super king doesn’t lack anything for space. Therefore, it can be particularly well suited to couples who require a lot of room in bed.
Room Size Requirements
Even larger than the king size bed, the super king bed, unsurprisingly, requires a big room with a lot of space to ensure that users are able to move about freely. A large room also ensures that the bed doesn’t dominate the space too much.
