Sleep is vital to our health and wellbeing. It helps us to function better in all areas of our lives, whether it’s at work or at home. Hypoallergenic is a term that means something is less likely to trigger allergies. Given that many allergies, particularly those that affect breathing, begin at the nose, eyes and or mouth a hypoallergenic pillow can be a very effective way to start reducing allergies.

Blanket Ban on Pets and Root out Plants

Pets can make great companions, not to mention prolific facilitators of likes on social media. However, no one wants to tweet about their allergies kept them up all night – so it’s best to banish pets from the room at bed time. Fur, saliva and debris carried by animals can all trigger allergic attacks. It’s also a good idea to keep plants out of the bedroom, particularly ones containing pollen as these could easily set off allergies.

A Clean Sweep of Allergies

Of all the causes of allergies in the bedroom dust mites are perhaps the most common. You may not be able to see these microscopic menaces but the little bugs can really get up your nose. To try to eradicate dust mites it is a very good idea to vacuum your room regularly. In addition to attacking your carpet with the vacuum you should also concentrate your efforts only completely cleaning curtains, rugs and any other fabrics in the room. Fabrics contain a lot of dust so are unsurprisingly a particular favourite of dust mites.
