Only buy from a reputable retailer

In the past there has been a great deal of media coverage on the perils and dangers of buying a bed from a man with a van that turns up at your home or place of work. Check dimensions

Bed sizes are not standardised and even if they have the same name i.e. King size, they may not be the same size. It is advisable to check that the base and the mattress are from the same manufacturer as they need to be compatible. The bed and mattress are designed to work together and a change of base will affect the feel and performance of the mattress and could invalidate the warranty.
